Acromioclavicular dislocations

The term refers to the junction between the collar bone and the scapular bone. The acromio clavicular joint is located in the upper part of the shoulder.

They are typical in males in their 20-30's who are more prone to practice speed sports (motorcycling, auto racing, cycling, skiing) and contact sports (karate, judo, tae-kwon-do).

Depending on the degree of separation between the bones forming the joint (acromion and clavicle) treatment can be conservative or surgical. When the separation is large and restoration by conservative methods is not possible we propose a quick and minimal intervention performed through arthroscopy.
