Our philosophy
We place the highest value on the patient's confidence in the healthcare that we provide. We encourage the patient to participate in her own healthcare by being informed and having a proactive attitude in the decisions related to that care.
In this office we provide comprehensive gynecological and obstetrical care, including:
- General gynecological care
- Gynecological and endoscopic surgery
- Breast health
- Prenatal care and childbirth
- Family planning
- Specialized care in menopause
- Infertility and reproductive medicine
- Preventive medicine
Great emphasis is made in our office on patient education and preventive care.
In gynecology, we keep up to date with all the latest advances in the speciality by attending international meetings and thorough review of monthly publications in the key journals in our field; the newest therapies for the treatment of common gynecological disorders, the latest methods of birth control and the most recent developments in the controversial care of menopausal women.
To support our efforts in preventive medicine we promote campaigns for early detection and evaluation of breast cancer, cancer of the uterus, cervix, and ovaries, in addition to other non-gynecological conditions which are common to women, including depression, bone loss and cardiovascular health.
In obstetrics, we encourage a natural approach to pregnancy and childbirth without losing sight of modern obstetrical care and anesthesia. We consider childbirth to be a natural process, not a surgical procedure. For example, we do not practice routine episiotomies (vaginal incisions), but only when strictly necessary, and we encourage patients to prepare their bodies for childbearing and delivery. We have considerable experience in natural deliveries if the patient requests it.
All these are examples of our goal: To offer complete and integrated healthcare for women at all stages in their lives.
