Doctor of Medicine at the University of Geneva, he completed his education in European and North American centres. Nowadays, he is Professor in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Geneva, Swiss. He collaborates with the Centre Européen de Recherche Nucleaire (CERN), he is a member of the EORTC (European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer) Brain Tumour Group and Chairman of the Swiss Proton Users Group.
