What is palpebral ptosis?
Eyelid ptosis is the drooping of the upper eyelid, it can occur due to a trauma, age or to several medical disorders. It can be present at birth (congenital ptosis) or can develop later (acquired ptosis).

Symptoms
Ptosis can be bilateral or unilateral and can be difficult to identify unless a suitable examination is realized. Eyelid ptosis is often considered a cosmetic problem; in addition, it can block or reduce considerably the vision depending on how much it obstructs the pupil.
Management
In most of cases, it will be resolved by medical management or surgery.
