Renal ischemic disease

Lesions which result in a stenosis of the renal arteries, not only determine pictures of arterial hypertension that can be controlled by means of new hypertensive medications, but that can obliterate conditions of terminal renal failure which lead to chronic hemodialysis.

The current diagnostic technology (renal sonogram, angioTC, angio MRN) can detect very aggressively narrowing pathology of the renal arteries and permit endovascular surgical treatments (Angioplasty, stent) or open surgeries (By pass, endarterectomy) which avoid the functional loss of the affected kidney.
