Preparation for colonoscopy
The colonoscopy is performed in the basement in the Diagnostic Imaging Service
It is recommended to arrive 10 or 15 minutes early
You must come accompanied due to the sedation involved in the test.
On the day of the appointment, you must present the medical referral for the test and the PRINTED authorisation for it, as provided by your insurance company. Remember that these authorisations must be requested by the patient or their family members at the medical company itself, and not by the hospital.
The authorisation can also be sent by you or your company via fax to 91 452 19 71. Otherwise, the patient must leave a deposit for the cost of the test, which will be refunded once the corresponding authorisation is provided.
The patient must come prepared following the instructions provided by their doctor or healthcare staff.
