Food that cares for you
A high-quality diet is vital for feeling better and speeding up the recovery process for our patients.
Our commitment:
- We incorporate dishes designed to make you feel better, made with seasonal, fresh, high-quality ingredients.
- We improve efficiency and the management of resources, suppliers, and professionals who make it possible.
- Our centres now serve a wider variety of dishes, using natural ingredients and offering meals that are full of flavour and nutrients.
- In addition to patients, employees and visitors can also enjoy our Healthy Nutrition Programme, which is present at all stages of our nutritional chain, including vending machines and cafeterias.

- We improved the system for transporting, storing and presenting meals (new hot trolleys, trays and crockery).
- We use locally sourced products, thereby improving sustainability.
- We are incorporating new solutions and food forms, such as the Harvard plate at dinner or takeaway snacks.

Frequently asked questions
How do restrictive diets affect our new healthy menus?
Our menus were plainly created under the same premises, despite the challenges of limited ingredients to design a healthy gastronomic proposal. What we have tried to do within the limitations is to improve the flavour of the dishes through the use of aromatic herbs and spices. All our chefs have received training in this area.
Are the menus and snacks also available for companions?
Yes, the companions of hospitalised patients who stay at the centre for full days may also enjoy the new measures implemented, upon payment.
How do the takeaway snacks work?
Takeaway snacks are delivered along with the lunch menu to be consumed throughout the afternoon according to each person's preferences.
How often do you change the dishes on the menu?
The dishes on the full-board menu (including a full lunch menu and dinner with a Harvard healthy eating plate) rotate every 8 days for a better variety of options.
Are there vegetarian or vegan options?
Of course there are.
What is a Harvard plate?
The Harvard healthy eating plate consists of a single plate composed of approximately 50% vegetables and fruit, 25% protein, and 25% carbohydrates. This ensures a complete supply of nutrients in a convenient and balanced format.
What are the lunch and dinner times?
- With slight variations depending on the hospital:
- Breakfast: 9 a.m.
- Lunch: 1 p.m.
- Afternoon snack: provided together with lunch in many hospitals.
- Dinner: 9 p.m.
Can I receive detailed nutritional information about the food on the menu?
Yes, this information will be available in the SmartRoom or on your smartphone via the Patient Portal, along with other additional information that may be of interest to you.
