Clinical Analysis Laboratory

Health Diagnostics runs the Centro Médico Teknon laboratory as a wholly owned subsidiary of the Quironsalud Group, trusted specialists in clinical analysis, radiodiagnostics, pathological anatomy and medical genetics.

The Laboratory is located on floor -1 of the Marquesa de Villalonga building, in the Diagnostic Services area. It provides hospital services, responding to requests from all hospital specialities, and also as a Continuous Care Unit (emergencies) available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year for any requests for tests from hospitalised patients and the Emergency Department.

The hospital also provides outpatient services in the laboratory facilities during the following hours:

• Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
• Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Our Diagnostic Service Unit leverages state-of-the-art technology to get specialists the information they need to establish a diagnosis, monitor or take action to prevent disease. It has thus acquired automated analytical equipment and implemented the latest management software models to ensure consistent and standardised processes.

The laboratory is equipped with the necessary resources to carry out a wide range of measurements and is supported by its own network of reference laboratories, enabling it to cover and respond to any patient need in the following areas:

• Clinical Biochemistry
• Genetics (Cytogenetics and Molecular Biology)
• Forensic Genetics (Paternity Testing)
• Haematology
• Immunology (allergy, autoimmunity and flow cytometry)
• Microbiology and Parasitology
• COVID-19 testing
• Toxicology
