Centro Médico Teknon has 20 operating rooms, 12 of which are located in the central area and equipped for high-risk surgeries (including cardiovascular and neurosurgical surgeries) with the remaining 8 used for outpatient surgery. All operating rooms are equipped with the most advanced technology. The area also has recovery and induction areas that are constantly monitored by specialists from the Anaesthesiology Service.

In case of emergency, the Teknon Surgical Area has the necessary technical and human resources available to perform procedures on patients arriving at the Emergency Department, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The Outpatient Surgery Unit has 8 operating rooms:

• Major Outpatient Surgery Unit (MOSU): Five operating rooms for major outpatient surgery, where mainly ophthalmology procedures, paediatric surgery and certain plastic surgery procedures are performed.
• Outpatient Surgery Unit (OSU): Three operating rooms for the Outpatient Surgery Unit, where short procedures that do not require admission are performed. This unit includes the Assisted Reproduction Unit Laboratory.
