Surgical Dermatology

Our dermatology unit provides surgical treatments for a variety of conditions, including the removal of unsightly benign lesions and malignant or potentially malignant lesions.

In the case of malignant lesions, surgery is the recommended option for removing the tumour, provided that it is feasible. Surgery allows the margins of the lesion to be analysed to determine the presence of cancer cells in the surrounding area. Some tumours, such as melanoma, may have a tendency to spread beyond the original lesion. In these cases, the depth of the tumour dictates the margins of the surgery, and sometimes it is also necessary to examine nearby lymph nodes to check for possible spread.

At our dermatology unit, we treat a wide range of common skin conditions, providing a comprehensive and specialised approach to skin care and well-being.
