Quality

Fully personalised treatment and care, with the highest quality service in terms of medical care and comfort.

We provide personalised follow-up care for each admitted patient (passengers and/or crew members), with daily visits from our cruise ship medical supervisor, who greets patients in their rooms early in the morning, accompanied by one of the coordinators, and answers any questions or concerns they may have, while the attending physician visits the patient later in the day. Our supervisor discusses cases with the doctors on staff so that preliminary encrypted reports can be sent to the doctors on the ships and to the insurance companies, saving the treating doctors from wasting time on tedious daily reports.

A translated copy of the detailed medical report upon hospital discharge is sent to the interested parties, with the consent previously signed by the patient and/or family members.

In special cases, we contact the consulate of the passenger's country of origin.

We also meet the challenge of cruise passengers' cultural diversity, yet thanks to our experience with international patients, we offer completely tailored treatment and support to individuals and their families. Having to cancel their holiday aboard a cruise ship due to a medical incident is a tragedy for them, and this factor is of utmost consideration for us.

Quality control of the service does not depend solely on the existing infrastructure at our hospital. Our medical supervisor monitors this aspect and discusses important details about each patient with the treating doctor or doctors in a highly professional manner.

Cruise passengers who decide to take a pleasure trip aboard a cruise ship in Europe are patients of various nationalities who come from a 5-star floating hotel and expect that when they request to be taken to a private hospital, they will receive the highest quality service in terms of medical care and comfort.

From a patient's admission to their discharge, our operational system meticulously addresses all contributing factors, including complex administrative aspects, consistently placing medical care and patient welfare first.

Service beyond emergency care

As part of the logistical support provided to the medical departments of shipping companies, we have been developing the following programmes:

  • On-board physiotherapy
  • Classes on diabetes
  • Teledermatology

Further services related to crew welfare programmes requested by shipping companies will continue to be developed.
