Neuromuscular Diseases
Address: Montse Olive
Neuromuscular diseases represent a group of complex diseases that affect motor neurons in the spinal cord, peripheral nerves, neuromuscular junction areas, or muscles. Many of them are categorised as rare diseases. At the same time, many of them are genetic diseases. Conditions such as fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome are not included in this group. The diagnosis and treatment of neuromuscular diseases requires a high degree of specialisation on the part of the professionals who treat these conditions.
