hospital de dia Centro Médico TeknonThe Oncology Day Hospital is a central service of Centro Médico Teknon, part of the Teknon Oncology Institute. It comprises a team of specialist doctors and nursing staff specially trained in the field of chemotherapy and outpatient treatment for oncology patients.

The Day Hospital is located next to the Oncology Pharmacy Service, which is dedicated exclusively to preparing cytostatic drugs for chemotherapy treatment and supporting the needs of the Unit.

Technical characteristics of the Oncology Day Hospital:

• 10 individual modules for chemotherapy treatments and other support techniques
• Oncology pharmacy specially used for the preparation of cytostatic drugs
• Nursing staff specialised in the preparation and administration of chemotherapy, as well as in the care required by patients during the course of their cancer treatment.
• Proprietary blood extraction unit with immediate results prior to chemotherapy treatment
• Learning areas available to cancer patients on the effects of treatment and possible support strategies
