Regenerative Gynecology

We are increasingly focusing our attention on regenerative gynecology treatments, whose aim is to restore the anatomy, appearance, and function of the vagina and pelvic floor.

Genitourinary Syndrome of Menopause

This term describes the changes that occur in the vulva, vagina, and urinary system during menopause as a result of estrogen deficiency. It may present with symptoms such as severe vaginal dryness, pain during sexual intercourse, and recurrent urinary tract infections. Diagnosis is straightforward, and treatment may include hormonal or non-hormonal intravaginal medications, collagen injections into the vaginal tissue and introitus, pelvic floor physiotherapy, as well as innovative treatments based on energy-based techniques that deliver heat, such as laser or radiofrequency, in addition to biostimulation techniques. These methods are highly effective and offer excellent results.

Vaginal laxity

Vaginal delivery can cause stretching and laxity of the vaginal canal and introitus. Although this is a normal change, this relaxation may lead to mild urinary incontinence and uterine prolapse, affecting the quality of sexual intercourse. In addition, many women express concern about the appearance of their genitalia and request treatments to restore their original appearance.

Available treatments include pelvic floor rehabilitation and controlled heat-based techniques such as laser and radiofrequency, which help tighten and remodel internal and external tissues. New biostimulation techniques are also highly effective, as they promote regeneration and strengthening of vaginal tissue.
